Naval Innovation Center at NPS

The NPS Foundation has supported since 2020 a new vision for NPS supported by an innovative new facility. Now, with support of the SECNAV the vision is becoming a reality. The Foundation has committed to working alongside NPS in the advocacy, development and funding of a Naval Innovation Center at NPS through its completion. Including providing the funding and in-kind gifts to outfit the facility.

STEAM & Community Outreach

Your donation expands and enhances STEAM and community outreach activities to expand opportunities for the NPS community and K-12 students across the Central California Coast and embolden the next generation of scientists, astronauts, engineers and more.

Warfighter Wellness
(Human Enhancement Research Group)

The Human Enhancement Research Group (HERG) at NPS is using students’ time here to address the challenges of preserving and healing the warfighter. There are few places where mid-career service members can pause the physical and psychological strain of deployments while adding intrinsic value to their careers. We have the unique opportunity to capture operators during that time to focus on rehabilitation and prevention of injury.
Your donation to the Human Enhancement Research Group at NPS funds physical and cognitive human performance research that will lead to injury prevention, reduced effects of post-traumatic stress disorder and lower suicide rates among active-duty service members and veterans while improving force capability and efficiency.
Like most of my peers, I pressed through years of training and multiple deployments while neglecting my physical and mental health.

National Security Research

Your donation to the Defense Innovation Fund allows NPS to act as a quick reaction force in addressing national security vulnerabilities and needs and allows the U.S. to maintain a decisive advantage over our adversaries by investing in critical research areas such as artificial intelligence, integrated networks, hypersonics and more.
DIF moves projects from concept to completion by providing the initial capital necessary to develop these research projects to the point where federal spending becomes available to fully implement the initiatives. Several projects have already reached this goal and are making immediate improvements in the Department of Defense. Without the support of donors through the Defense Innovation Fund, these projects may never have been developed.
If you want to make a tangible difference in our nation’s security, this is the way to do it. By helping to fund early-stage projects, ideas from some of our nation’s brightest military members are transformed into national improvements in the Department of Defense.

Student & Alumni Life

Most NPS students arrive with 8-12 years of military service and multiple deployments. Your support helps students and their families take advantage of their time while stationed in Monterey through recreational clubs, social and networking events and more. Your donation also supports the Alumni Association’s no-fee membership and helps NPS alumni stay connected to NPS and its global community. We also sponsor multiple awards, speaker series and other initiatives that enhance the student experience.
